002At the international A + A in Düsseldorf, the safety-conscious specialist can (could) inform himself at the booth of RUD on the latest innovations in terms of safe lifting technique in theory and practice.

The ICE sling chains of highest quality class 12 reduce the weight of chain assemblies by 40%. Everybody who daily works with such chains, appreciates this fact, on the other hand avoiding fatigue, saving the spinal disks and reducing hand injuries. By the 4mm ICE MINI chain, 800 kilos can be safely lifted in one leg and 1.120 kilos with the shortenable 2-leg Minilifter. 1m usable length at each side results in a weight of 1.5 kilos, being an indispensable and safe aid for every assembly box or hoist up to 2 tons. Up to 1.700 kilos can be lifted by the 4-leg variant.

The pink-coloured VIP sling chain program of quality class 100 is presented from nominal size 20 to 28mm, being always one size smaller than the common quality class 8. Weights of up to 126 tons can be lifted in interesting combinations. Loads increasing again and again are also reflected in the RUD sling chain program.

Two weldable lifting points VRBS 50 t and VRBS 100 t have been ready produced in series and can also be welded to edges of 90 degrees. The 4fold safety in all directions is guaranteed with these nicely-designed suspensions.

The blockbuster, however, is the new generation SR (Super Rotation) – lifting points with asymmetrical force introduction. Practice revealed with the popular lifting points VLBG, that these had been increasingly used for rotating and tilting of loads contrary to the instructions for use. This results in the fact that the fastening bolt opens already with the smallest rotation under full load, a fact which is also obvious with all copies of competitors.

Only by the patented double ball bearing “Made in Germany”, the dangerous-free rotation in all directions could be realised without modifying the design sizes.

Another decisive step versus innovations could be realised by using a patented ICE fine grain steel as material for all future fixing bolts (ICE bolts). This special steel, based on a special heat treatment, had been developed for the extra-light chains in grade 120 and achieves unbelievable impact values of 56 Joule at a temperature of -60°C. The user benefits from increased WLLs or smaller bolt diameters, harmless operations at low temperatures, increased toughness and thus an increased bending resistance, less wear and increased insensitivity against hydrogen sensitivity. To summarize: increased safety.

In order to cope with the prescribed regular check of working means, RUD again improved its RUD>ID<SYSTEM in terms of requirements by the examiners and the IT. By this non-contact, trouble-free and quickly identified system, all means of production subject to checks, can be administered in a simple and cost-saving way. Inform yourselves how to significantly reduce your costs for examination and optimize the safety of your production means.
