Mark Beretta, Chief Operating Officer & Executive Director from KTL Global Limited

It’s quite hard for 2016 in the O&G market. We are optimistic but it’s hard to work everything out. Right now we aim to develop special product lines, develop new products, and become more focused on new markets.

When talking about the recent development for the global oil and gas sector, Mark Beretta, Chief Operating Officer & Executive Director from KTL Global Limited, told us that the company is developing synthetic slings for offshore and new markets.

Mark remarked, “The future for heavy lifting is ‘synthetic’. We’ve seen demands for synthetic products increased all the time. We continue to develop and stock a lot of synthetic slings.”

“Compared to wire rope, synthetic sling is much easier to handle and it’s very durable. For example, the material Dyneema(R) is very tough and it can last for 15 years in the water. As materials for offshore usages become more expensive, the end users not only save a lot of money, but also save a lot of time in offshore when using synthetic slings. As more and more people understand what synthetic is about, they become more familiar and stock more such products. We have seen the adoption for synthetic slings is increased in all time.”

Mark added, “There are a lot of training and customer education yet to do on how to use synthetic slings properly.”
