The Maxim Shackles are made by alloy steel, with a galvanized body and a yellow painted bolt. Forged shackles are available in load range from 7T to 300T, while casted ones are from 400T to 1550T.
Maxim Shackles are designed to enlarge the diameter of the shackle bow, which enables to increase the slings’ load area not less than 58% and whilst improving the slings’ capacity by more than 15% when comparing with standard shackles. Thus enhance the service life. It’s thimble-free when you apply Maxim Shackles for synthetic slings or grommets.
In accordance with ASME B30.26-2004, Maxim Shackles are 100% extensively tested through WLL and NDT. Shackles under 300T are tested through 2 times the WLL and breaking loads are 5 times the WLL. More than 400T shackles are proved through 1.33 times the WLL, and breaking loads are 4.5 times the WLL. Now the shackles are certified by DNV and widely used for heavy lift industries worldwide, such as shipbuilding, energy installation, offshore, etc.
