After four-action packed days, the annual leading industrial events in Asia-Pacific region, PTC ASIA, ComVac ASIA, CeMAT ASIA, Cold Chain ASIA, Heavy Machinery ASIA, APEX ASIA and Industrial Supply ASIA 2017 came to a successful close on November 3, 2017 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
Putting a spotlight on smart manufacturing, this year’s shows gathered nearly 2,500 industrial pioneers from home and abroad, serving as a global hub for all things related to intelligent innovations in the industry field. The seven shows covered a display area of nearly 200,000 sqm, taking up all 17 halls with a total of 98,742 visits; once again consolidating the industrial weather vane positions in terms of participants, display area and onsite services.

PTC ASIA 2017: Driven to be SMART
As Asia’s first and world’s second largest fluid power transmission show, PTC ASIA 2017 adopted a As Asia’s first and world’s second largest fluid power transmission show, PTC ASIA 2017 adopted a new slogan, “Driven to be SMART” and focused on smart components and predictive maintenance. Nearly 1,500 top-notch enterprises from more than 20 countries and regions such as Germany, France, South Korea, Turkey, Spain, Italy and Taiwan made their presence, altogether providing a feast of smart motion & drive with the most cutting-edge and innovative products.
Industrial frontrunners including HYDAC, HAWE, PERMCO, KAWASAKI, SKF, SCHAEFFLER, KTR, ARGO-HYTOS, STAUFF, ATOS, HITOP, STAUBLI, SEW, SIEMENS, ABB, BONFIGLIOLI, LENZE, NGC, REGAL, GATES, RENOLD, NKE, LYC and C&U displayed their smart components and intelligent products, providing various machinery and system equipment with precise, efficient, energy-saving and cost-effective transmission and control technologies. Meanwhile, it was also worth mentioning that SMART PAVILION had introduced the state-of-the-art predictive maintenance resources of HANNOVER MESSE, the benchmark for the global industrial development at the platform of PTC ASIA for the first time. Renowned enterprises such as ARGO-HYTOS, BOSCH REXROTH, SCHAEFFLER, REGAL, SKF and HYDAC assembled to present a variety of predictive maintenance products and technologies.
The globally recognized manufacturer, Regal provided power transmission solutions that deliver superior performances. The driving and automation system expert, LENZE displayed its one-stop solution for engineering design and services. The international reputable family enterprise, Bonfiglioli brought their novel products in industrial automation, engineering machinery and food processing. As a leading company specializing in roll bearing and sealing, SKF signed a trademark license agreement with Shanghai Kaiquan, officially authorizing the company’s pump bearing with “SKF Equipped” identification. LYC, NGC, SEW, HITOP, SUCCESS and Huade all made dazzling debut with eye-catching products.

ComVac ASIA 2017: A Rising Star to Lead Industrial Trend
ComVac ASIA 2017, the benchmark event in the field of Asian compressor, has kept leading the industrial trend. This year’s show boasted a larger exhibition scale by increasing to 1.5 halls and covered the whole industrial chain such as machine, components, accessory manufacturers, compressed air, vacuum technologies, processing, distribtutions, continuously improving the industrial structure and providing the most ideal purchasing channel for buyers.
An increasing number of leading enterprises took active participate in this year’s show, such as Atlas Copco, Baosi, BAUER KOUPRESSOREN, IHI, IHI-SULLAIR, Denver, ANEST IWATA, Fusheng, Hanbell, Gramklin, Bolaite, Q-Tech, Liutech, Honest, Baldor, XIAMEN EAST, Zenix, Kangpusi, Quanzhou HUADE, Moair, LIDA, Naili, MOBO, DHH, Turbo-Tech, Xinlei, Beardseycopression, CRRC, AirHorse, High Air, Olymtech Air, HengDe, Xinda, DMG, HANSHIN, Changsheng, SUCCESS ENGINE, Baijian, APU, Greenair, PURAIR, Zhongli, Jieneng, Ting King, LUXON, Luo You, Pressure Gas, XINLAI, Shantian, Shanhai, Carter and Wealth. Nearly 50% of the displayed products were complete machines, building the show into the largest compressor exhibition in China.
In addition, the most advanced equipment of compressed air and vacuum technology offered onsite visitors the most leading technologies and the latest technical innovations. This year, Baosi displayed oil-free scroll compressor and mobile screw air compressor products; KOBELCO brought micro-oil screw air compressor and new oil-free screw compressor; LIUTECH presented mature and reliable one-stop compressed gas solutions on the scene. Visitors experienced the splendid and innovative industrial results and learned the development trend of the compressor industry.
CeMAT ASIA 2017: Smart Logistics to hit the show
The annual leading logistics event in Asia-Pacific region – CeMAT ASIA 2017 was themed with “smart logistics” to lead the industrial trend, attracting more than 600 world-known enterprises to showcase intelligent forklifts, logistics robots, integrated systems and other high-tech products and technologies within a display area of over 60,000 sqm. This year, the show featured a brand new forklift hall, assembling notable brands including Hangcha, BYD, Vita-Wheel, Noblift, Ningbo Ruyi, Weichai and Cascade to display the intelligence and innovation of forklifts.
Robot giants including ABB, FANUC and SIASUN entered the logistics business in rapid succession to present cross-border applications of high-tech products. Not to be outdone, traditional AGV players including Houdar, Comwin and Jingyuan brought the whole new technological revolution at Hall W3 and W4. In addition, as key players of the logistics industry, world-leading system integrators including Dematic, SSI SCHAEFER, Swisslog, TGW, Intelligrated, Vanderlande, SFA, Fives, BMHRI, RIAMB, Vstrong, Zhongding Integration, NTI, Damon, Gangyu, GAOKE and Clou gathered once again to compete their products and technologies.
Swisslog, a member of the KUKA Group, showcased at CeMAT ASIA how it shaped the future of intralogistics by introducing a new era of robotic, data-driven, flexible automated solutions that created exceptional customer value. The global leader Dematic provided a comprehensive range of intelligent intralogistics and materials handling solutions. The world-leading robot company, FANUC presented flagship products being widely used in logistic industry with the advantage of intelligent sorting, precise recognition and stable transport. Other key players such as Siemens and ABB also won great popularity by their superior products and amazing technologies.
A positive feedback also from Markus Jung, Director Asia/Pacific of Hanel and Midautumn, noted that, “we have participated in CeMAT ASIA for 15 years. It’s our most important exhibition in whole Asia. Especially this year, we had in comparison to last year even more visitors, very good and detailed inquiries and positive feedback. Since the Chinese market is so important to us, we will also participate in CeMAT ASIA next year with a bigger booth. ” Dr. Jens Hardenacke, Managing Director of Dematic China also gave the same feedback, “I am glad to have the opportunity to participate in the CeMAT show. It provides a platform for us to communicate with professional talents in the industry, and through this exhibition, we have established contact with many potential customers. I hope that CeMAT show could be better and better, and there is opportunity for us to continue cooperation in the future.”
During the shows, a series of splendid events was held concurrently, inviting hundreds of experts and scholars to discuss the wide implementation of Industrie 4.0 in different industries. The onsite events included Smart Manufacturing Forum Powered by VDMA, High-tech Display Area, “Intelligent Manufacturing 4.0” Forum, CeMAT ASIA 2017 Innovation Salon and the 2nd Seminar on New Technology of China Industrial Trucks. Industrial solutions covering automotive logistics, fashion logistics, medicine, machine tools, agricultural machinery, automobile manufacturing, packaging machinery, engineering machinery, marine engineering and other fields were displayed on the scene. Various match-making meetings also provided an ideal platform to promote the purchasing network of air compressors and vacuum technologies.
Organized by Deutsche Messe AG and Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd, PTC ASIA, CeMAT ASIA, ComVac ASIA, Cold Chain ASIA, HEAVY MACHINERY ASIA, APEX ASIA and Industrial Supply ASIA 2017 also received great contributions from China Hydraulics Pneumatics & Seals Association, China General Machine Components Industry Association, China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, compressor.cn, the COMPRESSOR magazine and China Heavy Machinery Industry Association. The next edition will be held from November 6-9, 2018 in Shanghai.
