Poland national pavilion was exhibiting at bauma CHINA 2018 (27-30, Nov) in Shanghai, which is one of the largest trade fair in Asia for the machinery sector. On the second day of the trade fair, Polish Investment and Trade Agency organized a press briefing. The key speaker is Mr. Krzysztof Pawlik (PhD), an expert in foreign trade and cooperation between Poland and China, who presented the potential of Polish machinery sector.

bauma CHINA is one of the most important event for machinery sector in Asia. This trade fair attracted more than 170,000 visitors from 149 countries, bringing together 2,953 exhibitors from 41 countries and occupied 300,000 m² of exhibition space in 2016. Every two years, leading individuals from the fields of business, research, and politics grace this top-class event with their presence – naturally alongside tens of thousands of national and international experts and decision-makers from the sector.

Polish Investment and Trade Agency was promoting the Polish machinery sector in cooperation with the leading polish companies of the sector: PRONAR and TOYA – exhibitors from Poland. At bauma CHINA 2018, the companies presented huge potential of Polish machinery industry and introduce the Polish manufacturers along with their quality products and services.

The Polish machinery construction industry grew by 7.1% in 2017 to reach a value of $14,795.3 million. In 2022, the Polish machinery construction industry is forecast to have a value of $18,338.4 million, an increase of 23.9% since 2017. Non-residential construction is the largest segment of the construction industry in Poland, accounting for 56.2% of the industry’s total value. Poland accounts for 1.2% of the value of European construction industry.

National Stand is part of Promotion of Polish economy based on Polish brands – Polish Economy Brand project realized by Polish Investment and Trade Agency. The aim is to promote priority sectors of Polish economy abroad. It gives Polish companies huge opportunities for entering the markets that they could not penetrate – in far Asia, Europe, Africa and Americas.

Poland is located in the centre of Europe, and it is the 6th largest country in the European Union with ca. 38.5 million inhabitants. Strategic location in Europe and being part of trans-European transportation corridor makes it convenient for developing business. Poland’s stable economic situation and rapidly growing internal market create possibilities for new investors. Companies entering Polish market can expect an investment support such as local tax reliefs, government grants, EU grants for R&D or facilitators on central & local level.
