Redaelli Tecna Ropes & Lifting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. receives a purchase order of wire ropes for a 1000T offshore wind turbine installation vessel. The vessel belongs to CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. and the builder is Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. The order includes FLEXPACK series wire ropes manufactured by Redaelli. FLEXPACK are specialty wire ropes designed for offshore applications. The gigantic sizes of FLEXPACK wire ropes help Redaelli break the Guinness World Records for three times as the heaviest wire rope in the world.

This wind turbine installation vessel has yet the highest lifting capacity for any vessel built by Zhenhua Heavy Industries. The vessel is used for lifting heavy equipment, piling and installing of wind turbine lifting equipment. The vessel can reach pelitic waters with shallow depths up to 40 meters. Zhenhua Heavy Industries develops a new jacking system characterized by higher durability and reliability. The new jacking system is good for use on jack-up rigs, accommodation platforms and offshore wind turbine installation vessels.
