In March 2014 and April 2015, Redaelli Tecna spa receives purchase orders of anchor wire ropes and crane wire ropes for the building of Yantai Salvage Bureau’s 5000T salvage crane vessel. Recently, the company receives another purchase order of wire rope for the A&R winch, used for pipe laying in offshore operations.
This new order includes one FLEXPACK wire rope with diameter of 142mm, and length of 3650m. This is the thickest and longest steel wire rope ever sold to a Chinese customer.

The builder of this 5000T salvage crane vessel is Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (ZPMC). The vessel is 199m long, 47.6m wide, with 15m moulded depth. The maximum speed reaches 13.5 knot. Having a designed draft of 7.5m, and navigable height of 56m. The vessel’s expected delivery time is late 2015. This vessel is used for emergency salvage missions, and will also serve the offshore industries.
